Terms of engagement

These terms apply to accounting, tax and payroll services provided by Ashby & Rourke CPAs, LLC unless the engagement letter says otherwise. We begin work after you have accepted a written quote and signed an engagement letter and, for tax work, the consent to use your tax information. Monthly packages are billed on the first of each month; fixed fees for returns and projects are billed on delivery; hourly advisory work is recorded in six-minute units and itemized on every invoice. Invoices are payable within fifteen days. If the scope of a package or project grows, we tell you and re-quote in writing before continuing. You are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the records you give us; we prepare returns and statements from them with professional care. Either side may end the engagement with thirty days’ notice; we invoice the work done and return your records. We carry professional liability insurance. Colorado law governs the engagement and the courts of the City and County of Denver have jurisdiction. Complaints about the professional conduct of a CPA may be addressed to the Colorado State Board of Accountancy, 1560 Broadway, Suite 1350, Denver, CO 80202.
